A workflow saved on an existing record can wait for events such as required documents being approved, tasks being completed, a signature returning, or an invoice being paid.

The saved stage determines which conditions apply. Some stages advance automatically; others were configured to require a person’s confirmation.

Removing workflow setup screens does not mark these conditions complete or change a record’s saved rules. Keep task statuses, approvals, and payment records accurate so they reflect the work that actually happened.
